"I have this feeling that I want to climb into the earth…"
Rooted in the ancient landscape of Penwith, Cornwall, Untethered looks at the peninsula's prehistoric monoliths that float in time and space, totemic masterpieces untethered from their original significance and form. Portals, gateways, thresholds, they resonate still through some kind of shared ancestral memory. This large body of work is also rooted in my past, and my present, and exists in a liminal space of longing that recognises the impossibility of going back - ongoing work.
